Now in its second generation in the real estate business, Rochester New York based Lane, Lane, Dworkin Enterprises (LLD) is a family owned real estate development, management and brokerage company, which formerly was known as Sheldon A. Lane Associates.
The companies' original success in real estate is due primarily to the multifaceted approach to development and acquisition of its founder the late Sheldon A. Lane. The companies' entrance into real estate began in 1961 when Mr. Lane co-founded Monro Muffler Brake of Rochester, New York. Monro was and continues to be the largest company owned Muffler/Brake chain in the United States. Although the company was sold in 1984 and later taken public, Mr. Lane and his partner retained ownership to all real estate owned by the company at that time in various states. These real estate holdings were the first of many real estate acquisitions for Sheldon A. Lane Associates.
LLD Enterprises was created after the death of Sheldon Lane in 1994. Today LLD Enterprises operates as sole owner, general partner, or limited partner in real estate ventures in Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania and the West Coast of Florida. The company portfolio consists of industrial-commercial developments, hotels/motels, office space, shopping and retail centers, apartment and rental buildings. Along with existing projects, LLD Enterprises also owns sizable tracts of land ranging in size from 5 to 290 acres for development or build to suit projects.

Our firm distinguishes itself as being hands-on proactive owners/managers, by paying strict attention to details, and by providing professional and responsive services to our tenants, clients, and external stakeholders.
LLD Enterprises continually looks for growth through the acquisition of well located stabilized properties supported by strong demographics & development sites. We also look to acquire underutilized properties with attractive locations, stable traffic patterns & below market rents where value can be created through redevelopment, enlargement, and brokering tenant mix remerchandising.
Our strategy also causes us to constantly look at property value enhancement for our existing properties through renovations, re-tenanting and expansion.
In addition to real estate development, LLD Enterprises maintains full scale in house departments to support all necessary realty functions. These functions include real estate brokerage, and legal, as well as financial reporting, budgeting and property management, (through its affiliated company JADD Management LLC ).
